I'm about 90% sure about 'Fool' but I need you to get ahold of me so I know exactly what is going on with everything with this. It will take about 2 mos to have everything ready and recorded.

Well, here's a rough cut of my 'No More Love' cover. I can't do a cover unless it takes the original material in a new direction; hope everyone digs it. I'll have it finished in a few days.

Dude, that's a great cover. I really dig it. I've also got a few of your video game covers, thanks to Mike Fireball back when he had Poprocks and Coke.com...or whatever it was. anyways, the song is awesome man. Take Care.

Thanks for the kind words. It occured to me, while I was recording, just how much of an influence Dave was to me as a vocalist...I just sound like a less talented version of him, really. :)

I'm still really depressed that he's gone...his (and Turzo's of course) contribution to music was really quite phenomenal. I just wonder if the world at large will ever realize that.
goodbye david

Legal status of this tribute album.... We have permission for covering the songs.... I talked to DR back in July about all this.... He said that its fine and then he went and told me that Jeff wouldn't mind either.... DS knows about it since then too..... Thats how I found out that Choirboy is property of EMI..... I still am trying to get in touch with them.... I wanted to put Choirboy on the Tribute as a bonus song just to give it a home but I think finacially its going to be hard.... I don't know yet.... But DS is going to give a helpin hand on the business side of it after the smoke settles....

i spent from 1 pm saturday till 10 pm sunday working almost straight (except for a few hour nap) on my cover of "whatever you got" I'll try and put a rough mix on My space early this week, I definately need to redo some vocals, or at least some shifting in the pitch dept....I really want to know what people think...its sounds like a cross between Failure and White Pony era deftones...and I did it all with guitar (+ drums & vox)...no synths.....holy noise rock batman!

recording it...i almost felt possessed....i was just so focused...

it was kind of eerie...

Yeah I know what you mean.... I started remaking again my cover of Scared..... But I have to write the drum tracks with a beat machine since my sound card can't take a live sound..... Urgh.... If its not one thing its another.... I was so hyped I have a computer to record and then that #### happens after I try to lay drums for one of my songs.... Oh well hopefully by christmas I get the V-drums that I want to everything is digital.....

????
Is Fool OK?
Is 2 or so mos Ok?
What is the actual deadline you are looking for.

Do you even want any more submissions?

Just wanted to know so I could get the ball rolling. Thanks :D

wow. That cover of 'No More Love' is stellar.

It's just as laid back as the original is manic...

beautiful reimagining... nice work!

I say go ahead. The more we can get the better. As far as i am concerned, i gain no finacial benefit. I never wanted money. His passing only makes this feeling stronger. I do it for the music, and the future of art.
