Well talking Dave Sherman I really think we should get this project together..... I asked him for his guidance and help in this project since I am not into the behind the scenes of the music business.... Truth is I have no idea how or where to look when it comes to the legal and business side to the music..... What I want is to gather up any bands who are really SERIOUS about this..... Its been months now and still I only have like 3 submissions including myself..... Please if you are serious about the Tribute album email me...... Due to the recent events I think its the perfect way of saying thank you David Reilly...... The Tribute will be in memory of him...... Funny enough I always thought tribute should come out when the artist isn't around anymore or the band is done and over with..... Well GLU is done but unfortunately Dave isn't here either..... So all I really want is more submissions to get this tribute going..... THanks guys and just email me if anything..... Also you can locate me at http://www.myspace.com/projectorko later.....
Actually that song is taken..... Lord Nikkon and I are doing an acoustic version of it.... Right now I have been swamped by different people asking for songs for the tribute.... Lets put it this way.... Submit what you have... Some already have rough cuts.... SO lets see how many submissions get in and then we will see how many we will have for the actual tribute...... No offense to anyone but I just want to make it fair for all....
I'm gonna try and record at least a good demo idea of both Miss you more than anything, and take whatever you got which i just figured out last night, som hopefully i can get some work done and hook it up soon.
i might record 23 cause i'm only 23 for 3 more months and when i turned 23 the first thing i said i was gonna do was record a cover of it...i slacked.

hey. i'm still onboard. i switched bands for a while. now i'm with A and the B killers. we'll do one. i don't know what yet. draven, email me at gmail. lemme know who's doing what. yes, finally it's really me.

I can't definitely commit to anything at this second, but I've been (recently, so I don't have definitive answers) talkin with my band about covering "Fool" or "Dress Rehearsal for Reproduction". Even if we wouldn't do it for this project, we still plan on doing it live, but if we do the song, I don't see why we wouldn't try to get on this. We'll see what happens.
Its funny too, because my brother is in my band and years ago (about 1996'ish) I had a band called "Waste of Time" (blatantly named for the GLU song) and a few years ago my brother had joined a band called Empty http://www.emptysound.com (which is now defunct, don't even know if that site works or not anymore), which was not named after the GLU song/album... but it is a strange coincidence.
At any rate, would either of those be anything you would be interested if we could come up with a good version (we have all been playing for years in case you were wondering if we sucked or not)? Also, how soon are you looking to have all submissions, complete the album, etc.., I can be reached at fiveliter302 @ fiveliter302 .com (take out the spaces).
Sorry, Im a wordy bastard!
