Anybody know how to get a Ps1 disc to play on on a computer? Does it have to be emulated?

ya i used an emulator and if you want it full speed you meed a halfway good computer

It can also be played on a modded Xbox, but I haven't tried.

Actually, ya, you should. they make good little media centers and there is lots of homebrew emulation and projects. The Xbox is basically a 733MHz Celeron PC, with a Geforce 4, 64mb of ram, and a 10 gb hard drive, with DVD drive. It's a granny PC...but it can do quite a bit.

hurray for "granny PC"!!! ...for a while i was stuck with a worse pc than that (pentium 2 @ 350MHz and 128 sdram) and it ran xp, firefox, and played movies and music great with vlc. so that should work fine

ePSXe is by far the most advanced. It requires plugins and a bit of GUI assisted configuration, but it will provide the best/most compatible experience.
