just the title was a DM homage.
The artwork was a little different-the story behind the art was featured in a college text book that my roommate had in college. He was a graphic design major (2001) and he knew I was a GLU fan and showed it to me. I thought it was a little odd that GLU was mentioned (as well as the artwork shown) inside a little college text book.
I'd have to ask him again-he may even still have the book, but I remember the artist was an asian person or some design company that does 'weird' album covers.
The guy who photographed it actually grew up down here close to me in Florida.
He did the album covers for Porno For Pyros (eh...), Motley Crue (uugh..yuck) and Monster Magnet (er...)
