But one quick question. At the end of the song when you repeat "The rush is loud" the third or fourth time it goes from the left speaker to the right. Was this intentional?

And great job on the breaks. Your cover was truely good craftmanship on your part. :D

Great. I really want to do this, so I'm glad to hear it.

I also agree about Dr. Wily's version of The Rush Is Loud. Very good!

I agree that's the best GLU cover I've ever heard... The only thing I don't like is the silence (of instruments) during the chorus.

I was referring to Dr. Wily's The Rush Is Loud, btw.

I'm glad you all liked it...as GLU fans, your feedback means a lot to me, since clearly you all have discerning taste in music :)

Yeah; it kinda goes off to the right and drops in the mix, so that you kinda forget it's there after a while and it becomes part of the rhythm...the idea was to take the reptition of that lyric in the original song and turn it into another musical section.

I may re-do the guitar solo though....kinda sounds like a solo you'd hear in a porn soundtrack...

I think I'm going to try to cover "My Famous Lie" or "72 Hour Hold", or maybe "1%" (and possibly "Tricked"). I'm gonna try to record it through my 2 track Tascam and then try to get it onto my computer in digital format somehow. I'm gonna do just a bass and vocals cover of whichever one I pick.

I like that idea for your cover Medicated.... I love Dr.Wily's cover but when a musician does something different with the song is great...... Can't wait to hear it.....

Haha. Porn soundtrack.

I like the solo. Actually, i enjoy hearing it with just the left head phone. The rush is loud repeating doesn't blend in.

But porn soundtrack?!!! Hell no. That would be fast paced beats or "exotic" tones.

I just can not let this go. Haha

Since when has there been a solo in a PORNO!!!???

Honestly.

OMG PR0N

Anyway...

The stereotypical 'porno' soundtrack is that 70's style 'wakka-chikka' wah-wah percussive guitar line, with disco / funk rhythms; sometimes even with vocals (always hilarious). I've heard many solos over such tracks.

But I think what I was more referring to was the Red Shoe Diaries type of 'classy' softcore porn, on late-night Cinemax or Showtime...guitar and saxophone solos during every scene. Of course, they may have changed styles lately, I wouldn't know...I haven't really watched a lot of porn since I was....15?

I have to agree with a previous poster.... best cover by a long shot. I'd love to hear you do "Vapors", one of my favorite GLU tracks and one of my top 5 songs of all time.

Your cover is VERY good, I look forward to being able to download a final version. .WAV is nice but a 320kbit MP3 is more than enough for hardcore fans. And I guess you'll have to offer 192kbit for the dialup kiddies.
