This is cool and all that people are starting numerous discussion forums to try to get this GLU ball rolling, but eventually, I would just like to see one site that everyone belongs to so that we don't have to keep bouncing from one forum to another

Yes, thats exactly what I'd like to see too. I wasn't aware of any other discussion forums out there. There is TommyC's great YaHoo group which has a lot of good content (a bunch of pics and a few mp3s) and I don't want to take anything away from that. But YaHoo groups are mainly mailing lists and don't have a lot of forum features. The only other place I'm aware of is the tagboard/guestbook at enjoyfluzee.com which is also not a real forum.

In any event I wouldn't even have put this forum up if there was another one out there. So if it is the only one help me spread the word. 8)

Well from what I heard 1500 records went under big time because of double release flops from the '15 minutes soundtrack' and the 'Depeche Mode tribute: For the masses'. I guess they thought that they'd both be huge sellers. Jeff Turzo cut off his dreads and got married and everyone knows David Reilly's fiance` died (she was a semi-famous photographer in PA). 'Wired all Wrong' the Jeff Turzo solo project was never picked up (they had a web site for a while too). I heard that Adam Kary the guitarist for Fluzee hates David Reilly and wants to actually kill him now, so I think maybe David Reilly slept with his girlfriend or something-just a guess though! Also I hear David Reilly is working in a computer store or something, maybe a computer programmer -I forget. Turzo is a production assistant in California still. But I wonder why GLU broke up? Also why did Fluzee break up? After 4 shows???

I'm interested in hearing more of what happened too. 1500 records was actually bought by riffage.com in July 2000... then when the internet bubble started to burst riffage went bankrupt in December 2000... that was pretty much the end of 1500.
Theres a lot of info in this wired.com article
http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,40561,00.html

Interesting quote from that article
1500 Records is expected to resume full operations in February(2001) when cash comes in from the sale of the label's first release from the band the Ugly Ducklings.

I know GLU's drummer Scott Garrett is playing drums in THE CULT with ex-Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros bassist Martyn LeNoble. Scott Garrett was also playing with WIRED ALL WRONG until they broke up. Here is their website: http://www.sickness1.com/waw.htm
I have a picture of David Reilly's fiance but it would be too weird to post it.

Hey folks...

So the release of 'up off the floor' is just that.....a release with no GLU reforming to support it??

I heard the Megaforce deal was on the table before but Dave and Jeff fell out over the terms of the deal. I guess with Jeffs band not kicking off he's gone back to the table to see if they culd get the Album finally out.

I hope they can work it out and reform.....

Al.
Hey, Hey!!! It's a party..... please don't ask me about G4's tonight!!!

The main page of that site was updated not too long ago with an album cover for WAW, but it still only says "coming soon". I hope that is a good sign.
