THE FTP: EVERYTHING GLU! AUDIO & VIDEO *RARITIES*
Moderator: moderators
maybe i'm the only one that feels this way, but i disagree with puttin up official releases when they are easily obtainable threw ebay or record stores. To the best of my knowledge Inside is also still available at CP records. For the most part i think the only material that should be uploaded are the live and rare tracks, and the tracks that david personally gave to us. thats just my opinion, and i am very grateful for all who have shared on gmail and the ftp site...

I would have to agree with gludude in this particular situation, the Inside EP is still available, and should be bought. as well as any of the other commercially released stuff. the gmail, and ftp should be for the hard to get a hold of music, like fluzee, RTA, and a UOTF with good sound quality or live stuff and music videos. this as well is just my opinion.

well the reason i put it all up is because i think there should be a place where you can get everything dave ever did - that being said if someone was truly a fan, i dont think you would download the mp3s versus buying the original edition. hopefully everyone on here already owns the #### i put up, but its nice that everything is all together in one place. also it is password protected, so its not up for EVERYONE on the internet just those people who frequent this board, which that last time i checked was about 20.
if fiveliter doesnt want it up on the server, i can always delete it, no big deal - hopefully we all can see what a beautiful collection of music it is, without resorting to taking it for free and never actually purchasing an album created by glu/dr.

You both have good arguments....... I must agree though with Mrgypsum only because as a true fan you will buy the album and also have the mp3s or so..... I had the UOTF mp3s for a long time ever since they came out on the original board but I still bought the regular cd and the promo ofcourse after I learned that the sound quality was better..... Anyways the Inside EP should be bought by those who don't have it.... Its a great album.....

My opinion is this, the pre-release of uotf is ok because its not a version being sold. The major albums and Inside Ep we should take down. Now that Dave has passed away, I am not sure the legal implications but I imagine at some point that money is going to go to his family. Believe it or not some of them do come here every so often so out of respect we should take them down. We can skip a meal at Jack in the Box and just buy the album.
That is my opinion. Hey when you guys upload something shoot me a mail if you remember so I can go grab it and back it up. Thanks. rikas@machine609.com

It probably is a bad idea to have the major releases up there. The pre-release UOTF is fine since it was freely given out. I just have to make sure I don't get in trouble as well. It is my server space, so I would probably be the one getting #### for it. I would say that it would probably be in best interest to not have Empty, UOTF (official release), GLU Self-Titled, and Inside (official release) on there. Not that I don't want them up there, it's just probably a bad idea.
As far as the AZ vid, I will try and re-upload that one. Sorry about that. Typically if there is a problem uploading it will give me an error message, but I don't remember seeing one on that.

ok not a problem, i didnt want to cause a stir or anything, i just wanted to try to get it ALL up there, but i will remove it, so i guess the only stuff that is missing is
the heavy tracks, someone else, and lost
the all wrong acoustic from waaf
fly on the windscreen from the dm comp
weight from mortal kombat
(i have from here up)
these might be a little trickier to track down:
any glu remixes or glu remixed
any other live material not listed
also i noticed at about 1:18/9 into "take whatever you got", it kind of skips, and any version i try to download online also skips - anyone know of a version that is perfect?

Sorry to post right away again, but is anyone going to upload the videos for 'All Wrong' and 'No More Love'?
PS. There is still a TON of space available on there, so if you have something put it up there! If you can't, send it to someone that can! Lets get it all up there (aside from official release albums).

I don't see the video for No More Love on my site. I think there is a live version of it possibly, but not an actual video. The only actual videos I see on there are Fame, From Your Mouth, and Don't Know How To Be, but my understanding is there are videos of 'No More Love' and 'All Wrong' as well.
Am I missing something here?
