i had a couple of the tracks from uotf b/c of napster and i had burnt it like back in 2003 or so then i *just recently* got UOTF from the store, although i had a good chunk of the mp3s the were floating around and i just wanted to to see what it sounded like...cuz it was OFFICIAL

and yes i got a nice surprise!!!

which makes me wonder...how many other songs on the album had precursors that are still floating out there on MP3 and i dont know it??

Yup, Pushead put the wrong version online at the ooold enjoyglu.com for awhile there. Supposedly a whole demo was leaked and Dave was pissed about it, but I've never heard any of the other demos besides MYMTA.

If i remember correct...enjoyglu.com posted all the songs. Including choir boy and Fame.
And Even an alternate version of Miss you more than anything.
I have them silvercrank...i can send them to you...or upload them to the gmail....
I was in love with the up off the floor songs.
I had become a fan of GLU probubly just a year before....and never really knew anything about them. I just stumbled upon the songs(up off the floor) and was amazed. Especially Miss you more than anything...tricked, and Take whatever you've got.
Oh man...it brings back memories!
I kinda felt the same "feeling" when David released Just a clear mind this past summer.....I love that song!
Ok..enough....i have the songs if anyone needs them.
Sharing is caring!

I have to agree. I listened to the Enjoyglu versions of UOTF for so long, that the 'official' release just seemed different and not as cool...

eh i actually liked the official versions, just b/c it was cool to hear the progression of each version from an acoustic-ish demo all the way to an industrial-ish version.

man i wish david knew how i felt about his music.

I feel the same way about David's solo stuff, the first we heard, were his acoustic versions with a minimal amount of electronics, and then month after month we watch these songs blossom into even more beautiful songs. It was great even hearing Keroscene's remixes and takes on the songs. I really do hope the cd gets released.
