This time with far fewer technical problems!

I performed and recorded a new live tribute show similar to the one that I uploaded here not too long ago. No laptop popping this time, as I bought a used Fostex studio-in-a-box to record the set and do a little mixing.

Seven songs this time, including three from Up Off the Floor, one from the Inside EP, one from How Humans Rx, one from Empty, and one from Space Age. (I'll have to do a Fluzee tune next year, I guess.) I repeat a few songs from last year, and talk a hell of a lot more between songs. (It might be obnoxious if you're not into stage banter.)

In any case, I'm dumping this down to my PC, and should be able to upload later in the afternoon when I get back from a veterinary trip.

Should I split the session into tracks, or should I put it up as a big file? Chances are good that I'll do both.

The tracks are uploading as I write this. May be a few before it's done, since the files are 320kbps and my transfer rate is about 28k/second. Odd-numbered tracks are the spoken-word intros, even-numbered are the actual songs. Like last time, I chose not to title them specifically to keep the feeling of being there and not knowing what's next before you hear it.

....and it's done. 14 tracks total (7 intros, 7 songs), in the covers section under greg_aubry_david_reilly_night_II_2007-10-16.

Got this uploaded MUCH faster this year. :)

Thanks. I'm on the fence about making some changes: adding a tiny bit more reverb, tweaking the EQ a tad, and then raising the overall volume to just under the "0" limit. I mixed in headphones, where you can really hear all of the effects and panning, but it sounded a bit dull on the computer speakers here. (Still saving and waiting for proper monitors.) Maybe I'm overthinking it?

I had fun with that Up Off the Floor rant. :)

Sweet! Let me have it if I really butchered anything. I think it turned out okay, creeping sloppiness aside.
