BAD NEWS regarding David Reilly's NEW CD

Hi Tom.
Last time I spoke with the producer, he was still trying to work
something out for it to be released on another label. But that
was a couple months ago. The idea of just releasing it as a
download was mentioned, but we didn't know who would handle
the paperwork and details - there are some issues with royalties
that would go to his heirs/family to deal with.
I should mention that TriMedia/Ruffnation shut down operations
back in December. I was laid off just in time for xmas :(
I truly wish I could give you some better news, but things fell
apart very quickly and pretty much completely.
tip: you can contact the producer via the studio website at:
www.metropolitanrecording.com
I suppose I should update the website, but no one is paying me to
do anything, so I'm not really motivated to work for free.
Again, it's really hard to break this news to you.
I was personally very excited to finally get this record done.
I was also very very sad when David passed away.
He had really gotten himself back together and had lots of
support in the area, and worked really hard on the record.
It's such a sad situation all around.
Very disappointing.
If you would like to keep in touch with me, it would be best to
use: jeffc@ruffnation.com
I still check in about once a month to make sure my quota has not
been exceeded, but I don';t pay much attention beyong that. I just
happened to notice that I had not read this account for months.
Please do reach out to Walt via the studio website.
There is not that much he can do without some funding, but it
would not hurt to remind him of this incomplete project.
Walt's a great guy and a great engineer/producer.
Best, and thanks for your interest.
I'm sure David would appreciate it also.
He is missed by many people.
Best, and sorry to bring the bad news.
Jeff
