Hey everyone.

I'm finally getting around to giving the main site a fresh new look. While doing that I added a small module to the main page called "Today in GLU History". http://www.enjoyglu.com

That new section is populated by the dates in our database so I'm looking for any more dates and feedback you have.

We are mostly lacking in GLU milestone dates shown here: (We really need more items here!)
http://www.enjoyglu.com/timeline.php

You can see all the dates we have here: (includes tour dates)
http://www.enjoyglu.com/timeline.php?type=1

Thanks!

I like the new look - thanks.

I know GLU played with a bunch of other local bands for the WDRE local CD release party. It was at Egypt nightclub in Philly, I'm trying to find the date. WDRE was the alternative station in Philly during the 90's. I did a search and found this site...weird, because the station closed up about '98 or so, but this site is still there. Scroll down about halfway in the link below. There's a little blurb about GLU and David.

I naturally assumed I was the asshat in question because, well, I am an asshole. But then I remembered I'm not the only Greg here.

I don't know, I gave up on Gmail, I refuse to give anyone like that attention. even though I'm doing it now, but this is my declaration, the one where I vow to never speak of gmail again. because. that's it....just because.

word. also, then, we should bury the ftp info. keep the link, just not the pw and un laying around.

^ I was so unaware that someone snaged the 'enjoyglu.com' gmail... (oops?)

I'm pretty sure I had everything sync'ed up to other one (that one wasen't messed with).

I can forward everything to a new account if people still want to use gmail as an archive.

we have the ftp, so i guess it's not really needed anymore. although, if the ftp ever goes defunct, it would be nice to have a backup.

6-01-98 at Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua, NY.

I can't find anything online about the concert, but I know they were there because I went to this concert to specifically see GLU. Creed was the headliners. I also met Jeff Turzo at this show.

It was a local radio station "birthday" show, so they had a bunch of bands playing and creed was the headliner. Pretty much, the only band I even cared about was GLU. I think I may have told this story on here before. At any rate, it's a cool story.

Unbelievably, creed helped me meet Jeff. The guitar player was standing next to the fence looking for a little something  . I happened to be at the right place at the right time and told him one of my friends could help him. I told him he had to take me back to meet GLU though and he was like "no problem". He was actually really nice and I thought that was really cool of him. So he took me back to where they were eating at a picnic table. I hate creed's music, but I will always have respect for them for what they did even though they were the "big" band at the time.
