i've been thinking and i've come to realize...i think we owe Jeff an apology. Until Dave died we were totally immersed in fraternizing with him, and nobody (that i know of) made an effort to contact Jeff (or Scotty, OR drew). Then when Dave left us we all focused our attention on jeff, and then when he didn't respond we sorta became a bit hostile toward him, claiming that he was ashamed of us and whatnot. kinda like rats on a sinking ship. So i for one apologize to Jeff and Drew and Scotty for neglecting them in the past. And if you guys read this i want to make it fully clear that you guys are my idols and i love you all with all my heart.

i'm not trying to be spiteful or mean or anything, i just personally think we've been kinda uncool to our heroes. just bringin this to y'all's attention

Round & Round,
Rearrange

see?? thats what i was trying to tell you!!! you guys (ahem two ppl) got a tad sensitive there...jeff isnt dave and just b/c he doesnt reply to you doesnt mean that there's a huuge meaning behind that particular action. but hell, if this whole thing gets jeff to post that would kick ass!

I'm not mad either. It would be really cool if he did interact, but thats his thing.

It all sounds horrible the way you put it. Had jeff put himself out there, i would have contacted him. But i did not know how. Plus he is in California. It isn't like we could of had personal contact. I am just saying if Jeff posted more or at least reached out to fans it would of been different. i would have embraced what he had to offer. And Dave was here. Who do you stick with? The guy how talks to you and updates you on what is going on. Who treats his fans like friends? Or the guy who doesn't. i think it mostly is the fact that Dave could hold our attention longer. With his projects being out in the open.

Wow that sounds really harsh. I was just trying to justify our actions.

From a personal standpoint.
dave was the underdog in the group, as far a luck goes. I wanted to cheer him on. With Jeff it was different relationship. Dave was mortal. He was a fallen hero who wouldn't fall. To me Jeff was way up there with th others. To far to touch. But i felt Dave's pain. And to me that was beauty.

Positivity - The words say it all. They aren't the same. They are both great songwriters, jeez freaking amazing guys. They are not the same and man I know we want that connection we had with David but right now it isn't there. Who knows maybe it will happen with Jeff. He is probably going through alot. These holidays will be hard for alot of people.
