Hey whoever finished a cover for the tribute please email the song to me at
reyes28ra@gmail.com so I can start on a prototype cd..... I know some of us are doin the artwork *coughing Lord Of Days* but I just want to make a quick cd to show some people to see if we get some financial back up..... I still don't know how it will be pressed.... If worst case scenerio I will personally release it and I will take the financial debt and will take the job of printing them since I have a few connections myself..... But please email the songs asap with your band name on it.... Don't forget that.... Thanks.....

Yes I figured you are ready bro.... Machine is actually guiding me to get the right equipment so I can start recording.... I thought I knew what I was doing but I see that I was way off..... I just want to record it right and have it ready so we don't have to be redoing the song over and over again.... So I will let you know once I get the track down with my friend's acoustic guitar.... Oh and that is an issue too.... I don't have an acoustic but I do have one to record that song..... Plus I still am figuring out that song....

hey draven, i tried to email you but i never got a response. i'm all set to email you my cover of "23" but the WAV file is 40mb. Perhaps send you a high quality mp3? or maybe just send you a WAV on cd thru the mail?

A tribute CD??? Are you proposing on selling it? We're all online here, wouldn't it make sense to just provide links to low quality (192kbit) and high quality (256kbit+) MP3s?
Second, if you're making a CD, you might as well use full quality tracks, which means WAV or some other non compressed format.

hey travis
they're all thinking of making covers and remixes and selling it thru one of the labels to give the money to somebody (foundation?) if i got the gist of it right i dont know. but everyone is uploading them to the ftp anyway (go an check under /remixes/)

Draven just wants to put together a demo CD to shop around; I'm sure if the project is greenlighted he'll ask for WAV files for the final CD press.

Pretty much.... I just want to see if we can get it out.... Worst case scenerio I ask for the uncompressed files and make a full cd case with cd covers and pics..... I have a friend that will hook it up.... Then just give them out by email orders and I would just bite the bullet for the cost of the cdr's and ask only for shipping charges......

Truthfully there really isn't a deadline.... I still have numerous of us still in the process of recording.... I mean take your time don't just record it just to hand it in.... Lets do it right.... Sh*t I still am trying to work on getting the right equipment so the sound and quality is good when I record.... I get this ugly buzzing sound from my sound card when I record so I need to get a Ozone workstation.....

My computer is royally screwed. I lost some stuff that I was working on for the track, but as soon as I can get my computer fixed (a couple weeks) I should hopefully be right back on track again.
This is also why I have scarcely been posting. I'm at work right now, but typically I don't have alot of time to do this at work. If someone needs to get ahold of me in the meantime just email me fiveliter302 AT fiveliter302.com (obviously removed the spaces and change AT to @)

well, if anyone needs any help in the Boston area, I would be willing to do any production or additional instrumentation needed. I have Pro Tools in my Apt. that I use, not the best setup overall, but the sound quality is...professional grade...
