Sevendust, Linkin Park, Cold?
So its not Marcy Playground

Its not Sevendust, Cold, or Linkin Park as recording releases, label signings don't match up.

Darn this is frustrating!

the thing is, according to the list of bands that toured or even played shows with GLU in that era, none of them match up.

are we the victims of misinformation?

ok, I'll clarify something:

this band never did an honest "tour" with GLU, it just seemed that they were always playing with them at radio festivals and multi-band package like shows in 1998...

Mr. Trebec I think I have the answer.....

Who is Jimmie's Chicken Shack?

Three Commericially released albums
1997 - Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope - Rocket Records
1999 - Bring Your Own Stereo - Island Def Jam Records
2004 - re.present - Koch Records

Aaron Lewis co-wrote and sang on "Falling Out' - re.present

They are currently in studio.

They did tour with GLU - If you'll check the DR Memoir page - http://www.myspace.com/davereillynovel - you'll find a recent comment from Jimmies Chicken Shack about playing with GLU

If this is the artist - then I think this is pretty good news.

I'm impressed!!!

now until they actually confirm what track they will be covering and we get the song in our hands, it will be considered "unofficial" so please do not let this go any further than this forum. They are doing it without compensation for the good of what the Tribute represents so please dont let the cat out of the ba until it is 100% "real" that they will be on it.

I have been in close contact back and forth with Jimi (the singer) and saw him in June and we discussed a few things in person and now I am just waiting on his e-mail on which track they will do.

they have a copy of ALL 4 albums and all the "non-album tracks" (I mailed Jimi a package of all 44 GLU tracks 2 weeks ago), they know that there are multiple songs already taken but what Jimi wants to do is listen to all 4 cds and the non-album tracks, make a list of the songs in order that they would like to cover, and the first song on the list that isnt already taken will be what they will do.
