yeah i bought mine for $1 at a record show in a discount bin. well, here is the megaupload link if anyone wants it... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UOC72NNF it's in flac format. i figure, posting a link can't be a violation of any type of rules or anything. if it is, i apologize.

i have a copy of the promo version of 'up off the floor'. i was wondering if since it's a promotional version of the album (which has far higher quality than the actual release), if it would be alright to post a link here so that anyone can download it, considering that i'm sure everyone here ...

also, and this is up to you guys, but maybe we could have a track by track submission (i.e. guitar, bass, drums... all in seperate tracks). this way it allows for further remixing or alternate versions and remastering. again, totally up to you guys

im up for something, however with my limited musical prowess, it might be kind of difficult, so if anyone is interested in a collaberative contribution, let me know. also, are we allowing non-GLU related sampling?

it took me a while to figure out how to do it. the "song" itself is only like a minute long

ok i figured out how to do it, but aside from the videos on the disc, the only GLU track is an instrumental that apparently loops over and over again in every level of the game. its nothing to get excited about, but heres the link if anyone wants to hear it:

weird question. i have the slamscape game for the ps1 that GLU did the soundtrack for. there are instrumental tracks for the stages. does anyone know how to rip these from a ps1 disc? if i can figure it out, ill post them in a rapidshare link

well im totally down for it. im not the most musically gifted, but i sing (or try to) and i know how to do mixing and things of that nature. if anyone is intersted, pm me

doesnt even neccessarily have to be a tribute type thing. even if GLU influenced artists got together to collaberateon original material, it might be interesting

i was thinking, with the whole disgusting mess the original tribute turned out to be, it would be cool if some of the very talented musicians who recorded songs for the original tribute, or some who wanted to, collaberated with each other to make another tribute. i know what youre thinking... oh no ...

well let me know. i have alot of remixes and such on the original cds that i can contribute

if a torrent is being made, might i suggest we try to get the quality as good as possible? i've spoken out about the quality of lossless formats before, but i figure with the amount of people that frequent this forum, we could theoretically get a pretty decent torrent of lossless GLU rarities going ...

thats what im saying. if you burn a cd for someone from mp3s and they go home and rip it into lossless, its still not cd quality. all that does is not lessen the quality any more. i guess my question is, why is the quality not preserved as best as possible to begin with.
